The University of Liberia community has lost another academic giant, and our nation, a distinguished diplomat and advocate for excellence. Professor Dr. James Teah Tarpeh, Sr. passed away on Saturday, March 14th, in Georgia. He was a fountain of wisdom and one of Liberia's cornerstones of quality higher education.
Professor Tarpeh served the University of Liberia as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Political Science. He also distinguished himself as Ambassador to Nigeria, Togo, and Benin. His contributions to education and diplomacy have left an indelible mark. While he will be deeply missed, the countless lives he touched will continue to carry on his legacy.
